Hey there, Backers,

This month, our testing phase has gone up a gear as we get closer to delivery day. Nuwa HQ has seen a lot of change in August, and that change has been accompanied by progress. It’s really cool to watch an idea not only come to life but run and jump.

User Manual / Quick Start Guide

Hands up, how many of you read user manuals? Studies suggest that up to 58% of people skip them altogether, and that number jumps to 80% for those under 45. But trust us, we've put a lot of love into ours! We've gone through several rounds of research, design, and feedback to create a manual that's clear, concise, and easy to follow—even for the most reluctant readers.

How the Nuwa Pen Works

Our algorithm is the heart of Nuwa Pen, but explaining it can be tricky. That's why we like to use analogies. As Vishal (featured in the video below) explains, our algorithm works like a detective. It uses the pen’s cameras to track the context of what you’re writing and motion sensors to predict the angle and movement of your hand. Together, this "detective" pieces everything together to deliver a precise, one-to-one digital version of your handwriting.

The Nuwa Case

Although the Nuwa Case may seem like a sidekick to the pen, we've given it the same attention to detail. Every feature has been rigorously tested and reviewed. The result? A sleek, functional case that not only looks great but also holds five full 2-hour charges for your pen and keeps it secure during travel.

But enough from us—let’s hear from some of the people who made it happen!

Just in case you missed it, check out our latest one-sentence demo.

Change the way you work

Screen time and constant digital interaction are causing burnout, reducing attention spans, and increasing anxiety. Many tech developers even avoid the products they helped create.

AI May Not Steal Many Jobs After All. It May Just Make Workers More Efficient

Such is the power of AI. And, potentially, the threat: Perhaps companies won’t need as many employees — and will slash some jobs — if chatbots can handle the workload instead. But the thing is, Alorica isn’t cutting jobs. It’s still hiring aggressively.

Hello Backers,

We hope this message finds you well! To ensure a smooth manufacturing and shipping process, please complete the Backerkit survey by August 25th. With this information, we will be able to send you your rewards.

Hello Backers!

To collect the information for shipping time, we will start the Smoke Test via Backerkit. The goal of the Smoke Test is to receive feedback from 5% of those randomly selected so we are 100% sure that the survey is ready.

We will receive your comments and make the necessary changes to send a successful survey. Please be aware that you might be selected, so pay attention to your email.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,

Nuwa Team

Hey Backers,

This month, we've made great strides in all departments. Everyone at Nuwa HQ is working hard to deliver the smartest pen in the world. Nuwa Founder and CEO Marc spent a few minutes bringing you up to date with everything Nuwa.

| Project Updates |

Injection Molds
Injection molding is a manufacturing technology that mass-produces identical plastic parts with good tolerances. Polymer granules (a type of plastic) are first melted and then injected under pressure into a mold. The liquid plastic then cools and solidifies. The materials used in injection molding are thermoplastic polymers that can be colored or filled with other additives. Note that not all the components in Nuwa Pen are plastic; Nuwa Pen is made from various materials, aluminum and plastics being the most common.

You can understand why we're keen to get our samples back and reviewed. Now, we can be sure our mass-manufactured products will look as premium as our hand-built prototypes. But it wasn't smooth sailing.

"Every micromillimeter has to be perfect before hitting the red button. If that's not the case, we'll end up with thousands of faulty Nuwa Pens. Getting something like the Nuwa Pen and its case ready means combing through all our designs and reviewing them when we or our partners find an issue."

Office Extension
There are lots of exciting things about startup life. Signs of growth are the best. Seeing the Nuwa Pen work, for example, was a skin-pricking experience. But there are few sights more telling than knocking down walls to make space for extra talent. And maybe a pool table.

We started to knock down walls a couple of months ago, but now the space is slowly coming together, and soon, we'll have an office twice the size of the one we started with.

Demo

Before you get bored, we’ve got a special treat for you (our Nuwa insiders)... It’s time for another Demo.
