We’re reaching out regarding your pre-order of the Nuwa Pen. We appreciate everyone who has been bold and pre-ordered a Nuwa Pen. Your unwavering support and trust mean the world to us, and we don’t take it lightly. We have no doubts that the Nuwa Pen will be the best smart pen ever created, and you’re a part of it. But with every technological breakthrough, inevitably, there are some headaches.

As you know, the Nuwa Pen has passed pre-compliance, which means that we’re - as it stands - ready to go to market. However, after recommendations from our experienced suppliers to take more time to deliver a groundbreaking smart pen, we're announcing a new delivery time. We expect to get the world's best pen between your fingers this August 2024.
We understand it's frustrating, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. Everything possible is getting done to ensure Nuwa Pen reaches its full potential and gets to you ASAP. We want to give you something incredible - a pen we can all smugly show off to our friends and family. Until then, we're committed to keeping you informed throughout the final stages of testing and production. Make sure you keep an eye on our project updates (released twice a week).

Want your pen earlier? Help us out!
As you can imagine, we are testing our final prototypes relentlessly, but there are only so many people in our small office. So, we plan to select a limited number of you to help us. All testers will receive an earlier version of the Nuwa Pen - which is perfect other than the 'almost complete' software. Once the software is final, these testing pens will be updated and operate like ones fresh off the production line. If you want to be a beta tester (the early adopter of early adopters), please contact us @ [email protected]. We will select testers in June - but keep an eye out for more information in our project updates.

Hey there!
The start of the new year brings updates in all shapes and sizes. Just think, this time next year, you can write those all-important yearly goals, affirmations, and resolutions with your Nuwa Pen. Our pen can do a lot but don't hold us responsible if you stop your gym routine in February. Maybe V2 will have those magical powers.

With every year that passes, it feels like the world is becoming more reliant on tech. Our obsession with production and efficiency has even trickled into schools. Finnish children haven't had to attend handwriting lessons since 2016! But fast and efficient doesn't always equal better education. In fact, the opposite is often true.
We've all been there - our deadline is a few hours away, our office neighbor is in a chatty mood, and our attention is on its last legs. We reach for our headphones and open Spotify. But what's the best music to fuel our eleventh-hour sprint?

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening,
This fundraising news is a huge win for our Nuwa Pen Kickstarter project.
Along with your support, we've now secured an additional €1.500.000 (US$ 1.64M) in funds from a publicly traded US consumer goods company. This has brought our total seed funding to € 2,500,000 (US$ 2.75M).
It was a quick journey from meeting to securing the extra funds. We first met when I went to CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in January 2023. I caught up with the company a few months later, and then a few months later, they visited our offices in Groningen, and after that, we closed the deal. From the very start, they engaged in what we're building and wanted to then ensure we had the funding to move Nuwa Pen through the production process and into your hands.
Thanks to your support, it's become clear that there's a lot of buzz around what we're building together. Without your backing, we wouldn't have been able to make this campaign as big of a success as it has been.

Product Update
A huge step is coming, going into compliance. If you would like, you can click to watch the update video here, where I explain what this means for you. In short, heading into this stage means you need to have a product that is ready for mass production.
Another exciting project we have been working on is building an internal database of various types of handwriting and grips. We're working with internal researchers to make this happen. The information we collect is extremely useful for understanding how people grab a pen. It's quite useful since we're continuing to optimize our algorithms to accommodate even more types of handwriting. If you think the way you grab a pen is normal, take a look around next time you see someone write.
